The Presidential Commission established by President Mohamed Muizzu to investigate the incident involving Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed is expected to complete its report within the next two weeks.

The commission made the announcement on its official X account earlier on Sunday. According to the post, the inquiry is nearing completion and the final report will be submitted to the President within the stated timeframe.

The commission was set up on 27 April following public concern regarding the police investigation into the incident, which took place on 18 April. The case involves the fall of Hawwa Yumnu Rasheed from the ninth floor of a building onto the roof of the adjacent property.

The commission was mandated to conduct an independent inquiry into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
