Teacher arrested over sexual misconduct with students

A teacher has been arrested on allegations of showing nude videos to schoolchildren and sexually assaulting them.
Police said on Saturday that the suspect, a 40-year-old Maldivian man teaching at a school in an island under the South Central Police Division, was accused of showing nude videos to male students and committing acts of sexual assault.

The man was arrested on 27 October and has been remanded in custody for 30 days while investigations continue.
Police said the case is under investigation.
