Parliament is scheduled to hold its opening session for the year on February 6.
President Ibrahim Mohamed Solih will deliver the presidential address at the sitting. This will be President Solih's last presidential address of his first term.

The parliament went on a two-month long recess in November 2022.
The opening day of parliament for the new year will be a public holiday.
