Commercial Bank of Maldives Introduces dollar ATM at Male branch
CBM has imposed specific withdrawal limits for dollar transactions to ensure the efficient distribution of currency.
Commercial Bank of Maldives (CBM) has launched a new dollar ATM at its Male branch, offering greater convenience for customers who need to withdraw US dollars within set limits.
This service has been operational since last Sunday and marks a significant step in improving access to foreign currency in the Maldives.
CBM has imposed specific withdrawal limits for dollar transactions to ensure the efficient distribution of currency. The limits are as follows:
-
Maximum withdrawal of $3,000 per month
-
Daily withdrawal limit of $2,400
-
Per-transaction limit of $500
These limits allow customers to manage their dollar withdrawals with flexibility while ensuring the availability of funds for a broader customer base.
CBM has been proactive in providing innovative solutions to support businesses and travellers in the Maldives. In November last year, the bank introduced China's ‘UnionPay’ card service, aimed at facilitating seamless foreign transactions for both domestic businesses and international travellers. This initiative aligns with CBM’s broader strategy to enhance accessibility to foreign currency and promote financial ease in the Maldives.
