The Managing Director of the SME Development Finance Corporation (SDFC), Aishath Fifsheen Ali, has been dismissed.
The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board (PCB), which oversees state-owned companies, announced the decision on Saturday. No further details were provided.
Fifsheen was appointed to the position on 22 January last year. The post was previously held by Ahmed Zeenad, who also served under the previous government. Zeenad has since been appointed as the Managing Director of the Housing Development Finance Corporation (HDFC).

SDFC has suspended some of its previous loan programmes and is in the process of issuing certain loans.
