MIB shifts Artificial Beach branch to retail customers
The upgraded branch offers core banking services including account opening, deposits and withdrawals, check book issuance, and bank statement requests.
Maldives Islamic Bank (MIB) has transformed its branch in front of Artificial Beach into a full-fledged retail outlet, now open to serve individual customers with a wide range of banking services.
Previously a business-only branch, the outlet has been reorganised to accommodate retail banking needs and is now operational from 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Additionally, card, ring, and tag issuance services are available on the ground floor from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.
The upgraded branch offers core banking services including account opening, deposits and withdrawals, cheque book issuance, and bank statement requests.
Ahsan Jameel, Media Manager at MIB, highlighted that while MIB is the first bank in the Maldives to offer fully digital services, the expansion of physical branches reflects the bank's commitment to serving every individual in the community.
“Our goal is to provide inclusive access to banking, whether digitally or in person," he said.
MIB remains the only bank in the Maldives allowing both individuals and businesses to open accounts without physically visiting a branch. It also continues to lead in innovation with modern solutions such as the newly introduced payment ring and tag.
