Villa Gas raises cooking gas prices
Under the revised pricing, the cost of a 10kg cylinder will increase from MVR 200 to MVR 350.
Villa Gas has announced an increase in cooking gas prices, effective from Thursday.
The company confirmed the adjustment through its call centre, stating that customers can continue to purchase gas cylinders at current rates until the change takes effect.
Under the revised pricing, the cost of a 10kg cylinder will increase from MVR 200 to MVR 350. The price of a 20kg cylinder will rise from MVR 450 to MVR 650. Details on pricing for 5kg cylinders have not been disclosed.
Villa Gas operates as part of the Villa Group, owned by Gasim Ibrahim.
The price adjustment follows recent changes in global gas prices linked to developments in the Middle East.
The state-owned State Trading Organisation has not announced any changes to its gas pricing.
