Renaatus Irumathi: From hustle of life to relaxing lifestyle

For those who intend to live here, the experience will feel more like staying in a resort than a typical residential building.

“At Renaatus Irumathi, we are offering an escape from the busy life," stated Manoj Poosappan, the Managing Director of Renaatus, while standing atop the building currently under development in Hulhumalé Phase 1, overlooking the channel that separates the two phases.

Behind him lies the largest infinity swimming pool ever seen in a residential building in Hulhumalé. Beyond that, the view extends to the eastern shoreline and the vast ocean, capturing the sheer beauty of nature.

For those who intend to live here, the experience will feel more like staying in a resort than a typical residential building. According to Manoj, this is precisely the vision behind Renaatus Irumathi.

In the early stages of Hulhumalé’s development, housing projects were driven by one primary objective: ensuring basic shelter. The goal was to provide a roof over people's heads, prompting many to migrate from the congestion of Malé to Hulhumalé.

However, many years have passed since then. Over this period, public demand and needs have evolved. People now seek spaciousness and convenience. Consequently, housing projects in Hulhumalé have undergone significant transformations.

"About ten years ago, housing was a basic necessity, especially in Hulhumalé. But today, it has transformed into a lifestyle," Manoj observed.

The foundation of Renaatus Irumathi is built upon this reality. Renaatus is a company that has witnessed this evolution firsthand. Having operated various projects in the Maldives since 2011, Renaatus began its first residential project in Hulhumalé in 2016, known as 'Renaatus Ithamaa'. This was among the first such projects undertaken by a foreign company in Hulhumalé.

In the decade since, the market has changed drastically, and competition has intensified. Every company now strives to offer more than just shelter; they aim to provide a lifestyle, as Manoj noted. This philosophy is evident in every aspect of Renaatus Irumathi.

Renaatus Irumathi Units:

  • 24 Single-level apartments (2+1 and 3+1 rooms)

  • 41 Duplex apartments (2+1 and 3+1 rooms)

  • 4 Penthouses (4+1 rooms)

Rather than focusing on maximising the number of units, Renaatus prioritized providing ample space for its residents, ensuring every square inch is utilised effectively. The result is large apartments with spacious rooms and a layout designed for natural ventilation.

Every corner of the apartments has been meticulously designed with residents' needs in mind. For instance, the maid rooms are more spacious than those typically found in similar buildings. The apartments, particularly the duplexes, include a dedicated study area and home office space—a feature introduced by Renaatus in response to the changing lifestyle and demands of Maldivians.

"Every square foot of the building is designed to give residents a true 'home feel'," Manoj said.

The design process for Renaatus Irumathi involved concepts from the Maldives, Singapore, and India. Ultimately, Renaatus chose the design proposed by the Maldivian architecture firm, 'Spaces'. The finished building will reflect this vision because, as Manoj explained, the concept by the Maldivian architect best aligned with the desires and needs of the local community.

Facilities:

  • Dedicated parking for every apartment (1 car and 2 motorcycles)

  • Daycare centre

  • Commercial spaces and a café

  • A 28-metre wide infinity swimming pool

  • Vertical community garden and event space

  • Gym

  • Co-working space

  • Movie theatre

"We are aiming to bring a resort-like feel through this project," Manoj said, highlighting the services and unique features of Renaatus Irumathi.

The reasons why Manoj views housing as a lifestyle rather than just a place to live are clearly visible at Renaatus Irumathi. The days when buyers only considered location and floor level are gone. Today, people look for how a place can enhance their quality of life, focusing on the services and experiences offered.

Renaatus presents this project as the ultimate answer to those evolving needs. The essence of this answer is best captured on the terrace of Renaatus Irumathi—with its infinity pool and the breathtaking natural scenery beyond. It is the opportunity to experience a serene and enchanting environment after a busy day. This is the true definition of comfort and satisfaction in living.
