BML branches to open from 9am to 12pm in Ramadan

Self-Service Banking Centres across the country will continue to provide deposit, withdrawal and transfer services 24 hours a day.

Bank of Maldives (BML) on Sunday announced the official working hours during the month of Ramadan and the first seven days of Shawwal.

The bank’s branches and service centres will be open from 9:30am to 12pm during Ramadan, which begins on Thursday.

Self-Service Banking Centres across the country will continue to provide deposit, withdrawal and transfer services 24 hours a day.

Cash Agents on inhabited islands will also be available to provide basic banking services to customers during Ramadan. 

For International Transfers (TT), BML cheque processing, payroll, and local payments and transfers, requests received and cheques deposited by 11am will be processed on the same day. Cheques of other banks deposited via ATMs before 9am will be processed on the same day.

Requests received after the cut-off times will be processed on the next working day.

"We encourage our customers to bank from home using our internet banking and mobile app for everyday banking," a statement read.
