The deadline for filing income tax returns has been extended.

Announcing the extension of tax returns, Maldives Inland Revenue Authority (MIRA) said on Thursday that it has decided to give more time to prepare and submit the financial statements for 2022 as the last week of this month coincides with the extended Eid holidays.

The current deadline for filing income tax returns is July 2.

However, no other deadlines coming up on July 2 have been changed.

Taxes and fees due on July 2:

  • May 2023 GST

  • May 2023 Green Tax

  • May 2023 airport taxes and fees

  • Tourism Land Rent for the third quarter of 2023

Taxes accepted by MIRA can be easily paid anywhere, anytime through MIRAConnect.
