The Times of India reported on Friday that Hassan Suhail, aged 43, was discovered unresponsive in his hotel room.
Hotel staff attempted to deliver a meal to his room, but upon receiving no response, they informed the authorities. Police arrived, forced entry, and found him deceased.
Police reported that Suhail died from a heart attack attributed to low blood pressure and dehydration.
He had arrived in India on Monday and had booked a return ticket to Maldives, scheduled for Friday. Records show he had also reserved a ticket to Mumbai earlier in the week but did not travel there.
Bangalore has become a common destination for individuals from the Maldives and surrounding regions seeking medical treatment.
