A teacher has been arrested and remanded to custody for allegedly sexually abusing two children under the age of 15 in a northern island.
On Tuesday, a 12-year-old and a 14-year-old girl were allegedly abused in a northern island.

According to reliable sources, a teacher at the island's school has been arrested.
A police spokesman told Atoll Times on Monday that a 49-year-old local man was arrested on Thursday under a warrant in connection with the case.
A court on Monday remanded the accused to custody till the end of trial.
Police refused to disclose further details.
