A 17-year-old boy died following a traffic accident in Fuvahmulah in the early hours of Wednesday, according to police.
The accident occurred at approximately 2:40am on Husnuheena Magu, where the boy was reported to have first collided with a wall before losing control of the vehicle and crashing into a street light.

He was taken to hospital for treatment but was pronounced dead at 3:40am.
Police confirmed the incident is under investigation.
A similar incident occurred last month in Malé, where another 17-year-old boy died in a traffic accident.
