Human hand found in speedboat capsize area near Felidhoo

A man’s hand has been found underwater in the area where Indian billionaire Gotham Singhania’s racing speedboat capsized while carrying seven people near V. Felidhoo.
The launch capsized at 1:15 am on the 17th of this month, about 2 nautical miles south-west of Keyodhoo. Two people drowned in the incident and remain missing.
One of the injured sustained a broken arm and is receiving treatment in India.
Police said a diver at Shark Point in Fulidhoo reported finding what appeared to be part of a human organ. No further details were provided. The hand was found near the site of the capsizing.
Authorities stated that the incident was caused by speeding under the influence of alcohol. Records show the speedboat was travelling at 72 mph. Singhania was operating the vessel at the time.
Singhania was among those injured and received treatment at the atoll hospital in Felidhoo. He left for India the following day.
It is reported that while in Maldives, he declined to provide information to the investigation.
