Lamaan appointed PNC Deputy Secretary General

Lamaan was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MPL on 1 May. Before this role, he served as the Deputy Managing Director of MACL.

Mohamed Lamaan has been appointed as the Deputy Secretary General of the ruling PNC.

The PNC announced the appointment and issued a statement welcoming the decision on Tuesday.

Lamaan was appointed as the Deputy Chief Executive Officer of MPL on 1 May. Before this role, he served as the Deputy Managing Director of MACL.

The Secretary General of the PNC is Moosa Fathuhee, a former State Minister of the dissolved Local Government Ministry. He assumed the post following the resignation of Muaz Haleem.

Muaz Haleem stepped down from the position stating that he wished to support the efforts of President Mohamed Muizzu to guide the party’s work in line with the views of the public.
