Nazim Sattar was injured in a stabbing incident in Malé on Friday night, according to information confirmed to Dhauru.
The Maldives Police Service said it received a report shortly after midnight regarding a person injured with a sharp object.
Police stated that the victim, identified only as a 49-year-old Maldivian man, was taken to ADK Hospital for treatment.
Authorities did not officially disclose the identity of the victim. However, Dhauru reported that the injured individual was Nazim Sattar, a lawyer and younger brother of former President Mohamed Nasheed.
Police have not released details regarding the exact location of the incident or the weapon involved.
Information concerning the extent of Sattar’s injuries has also not been disclosed.
The case remains under investigation.
