66 long-serving state employees honoured on Independence Day
The recipients were selected from state employees who have completed more than 41 years of public service and had not previously received a national award.

Sixty-six state employees were honoured on Sunday for their long service to the Maldives during the official Independence Day ceremony.
President Dr Mohamed Muizzu presented the recipients with badges, plaques and certificates of honour as part of the celebrations marking the country's 61st Independence Day.
According to the President's Office, the recipients were selected from state employees who have completed more than 41 years of public service and had not previously received a national award.
The President's Office submitted the candidates' public service records to the National Awards Committee, which reviewed the nominations and conducted interviews before selecting those who met the required criteria.
The ceremony also included the presentation of the Order of the Distinguished Rule of Izzuddeen to four individuals in recognition of their contributions to the country.
The recipients were Dr Mohamed Latheef for his contribution to education, Ibrahim Rasheed Moosa for his contribution to religious education and public awareness, Champa Hussain Afeef for his contribution to the tourism industry, and Champa Mohamed Moosa for his contribution to tourism and business.
