Police have arrested a 21-year-old Maldivian man in connection with a motorcycle collision on Sosun Magu in Malé that left three people injured.
The accident occurred late on Monday night when two motorcycles collided on Sosun Magu. Two Maldivian men, aged 21 and 22, and a 26-year-old Maldivian woman sustained injuries of varying severity.
Police said on Wednesday that the 21-year-old man was arrested on Tuesday under a court order in connection with the accident.
He was riding one of the two motorcycles involved in the collision.
The court has remanded him for 15 days while the case is investigated.
Police had earlier said that the man did not hold a licence to drive a land vehicle.
The investigation is continuing.
