Maldivians in Bangladesh fare well: Foreign Ministry

The Foreign Ministry on Sunday said that all the Maldivians living in Bangladesh are in good condition and are being provided with the necessary assistance.
Bangladesh has declared a curfew and banned people from going out due to the ongoing unrest.
The Foreign Ministry said in a statement that 90 students, families and others registered with the Maldivian High Commission in Bangladesh are being contacted and provided with necessary assistance.

Two students from a medical school in the north of the country have informed the Foreign Ministry that they want to return to Maldives after the schools were closed

The High Commission has advised Maldivians in Bangladesh to not go outside and follow the Bangladeshi government’s curfew instructions closely
