Mariyam Shamma Ismail has been appointed as the Registrar of Companies.
Minister of Economic Development Mohamed Saeed announced the appointment in a post on X on Monday, where he also welcomed Shamma to the role.

The position became vacant following the resignation of Mariyam Visam last week. Visam had served as Registrar of Companies for 11 years under the previous two administrations. She was appointed to the role in January 2014 during the administration of former President Abdulla Yameen.
