The practical work on the harbour development project in GDh. Fiyoaree commenced on Friday.
A ceremony was held in the island to inaugurate the project, with Minister of Construction and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib and Maldives Transport and Contracting Company (MTCC) Managing Director Ahmed Saudy in attendance.
MTCC has been contracted to carry out the development of the harbour at a cost of MVR 38 million.
