
Thilamale Bridge's 'most challenging' piling work completed, minister says

Minister of Construction, Housing and Infrastructure Dr Abdulla Muththalib has announced the completion of piling work for the Thilamale Bridge project.
The update was shared in a post on the minister’s official X account, accompanied by new images of the bridge, which is designed to connect Malé, Villimalé, Gulhifalhu, and Thilafushi.
According to the minister, a total of 263 piles have been installed at 68 onshore and offshore locations. He stated that with this milestone, the overall completion of the project now stands at 60.84 per cent.
