MIRA reports November revenue of MVR 2.2 billion

The Maldives Inland Revenue Authority reported collecting MVR 2.2 billion in state tax revenue in November.
According to MIRA data released Wednesday, the figure is 6.7% higher than projected and 16.6% higher than the revenue collected in November last year.
MIRA stated that the rise in revenue was mainly driven by higher collections of TGST, green tax and airport taxes. The authority also noted that 21% of the total revenue came from efforts to recover outstanding payments.

GST: MVR 1.3 billion (59.1%)

Green Tax: MVR 191 million (8.7%)

Airport Development Fee: MVR 175.8 million (8%)

Departure Tax: MVR 164.9 million (7.5%)

Income Tax: MVR 131.6 million (6%)

Work Permit Fee: MVR 63.8 million (2.9%)
MIRA also reported receiving USD 103.2 million during November.
