Moosa Zameer, Minister of Finance and Planning, has paid an official visit to the Oman and held talks with Sultan bin Salim bin Said Al Habsi, Oman’s Minister of Finance.
During the meeting, the two ministers discussed measures to strengthen bilateral trade and expand economic cooperation between the Maldives and Oman. Discussions focused on increasing trade flows and exploring cooperation in the maritime and fisheries sectors, including maritime services, value chains, and related commercial activities.
The ministers also exchanged views on potential collaboration in energy projects in the Maldives, with reference to areas that support national development priorities.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both countries to enhance cooperation across other economic sectors of mutual interest.
