Maldivian entrepreneur and artist Raya Mansoor has been named to the annual Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
Raya was included in the Arts category, which covers individuals working in Art & Style as well as Food & Drink.
She is the co-founder of Oevaali Art Shop, a jewellery, accessories and stationery business established in 2015. Raya launched the venture in Malé with her sister, Raniya Mansoor, before expanding the business internationally. In early 2024, the company opened a retail outlet in Singapore.
Alongside her work as an entrepreneur, Raya is also a self-taught artist. Her contemporary paintings were recently exhibited at Galeria Azur in Berlin.
The Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list recognises young entrepreneurs, artists, innovators and leaders from across the region who have made notable contributions in their respective fields.
Raya’s inclusion marks the third time a Maldivian has been featured on the list.
In 2017, Safath Ahmed Zahir became the first Maldivian to be recognised, appearing in the Social Entrepreneurs category. In 2020, Mohamed Afzal was included in the Retail & Ecommerce category.
Raya is the first Maldivian to be featured in the Arts category of the Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia list.
