Maldives set 2m tourist arrivals target for 2024
According to the budget booklet, the number of tourists visiting Maldives next year will be 7.9% higher than the number expected this year.

Although arrivals from Europe are expected to slow down, the number of tourists visiting Maldives from other markets, including China, and bed nights figures are expected to see improvements next year, with the total number of tourist arrivals in 2024 set to cross 2 million, according to the proposed state budget for 2024.
The finance ministry has sent a budget of MVR 49.5 billion to the parliament on Tuesday. More than 2 million tourists are expected to visit Maldives next year for the first time.
