Thailand's Dusit to run Maldives' Feydhoo Finolhu resort

Dusit Hotel and Resorts, a subsidiary of Dusit International, one of Thailand’s largest hotel management companies and property development companies, has announced the opening of a new hotel in Kaafu atoll Feydhoo Finolhu.
Dusit has signed an agreement to operate the 125-room resort to be developed by Pearl Atoll Pvt Ltd in Feydhoo Finolhu. The resort is scheduled to open in the last quarter of this year.
The resort, which is a five-minute speedboat ride from Velana International Airport, will be operated under Dusit's upscale brand, Dusit D2. The resort will be the company's first all-inclusive property.
Boasting water villas and family suites for families, the resort also has a kids club, restaurants serving flavours from around the world, a fully equipped gym and a spa for Thai massages.
Dusit D2 Feydhoo Maldives will be the second resort operated by Dusit in Maldives. The company operates a luxury resort in B.Muhdhoo.
Dusit International COO Gilles Cretallaz said Maldives is an important market for the company and the resort will provide a unique and complete experience for tourists.
“This will be the first resort operated by Dusit for the all-inclusive concept,” he said.
The resort will have features that will appeal to families, lovers and young people, he said.
Pearl Atoll managing director Fan Jianglin said the company hoped to provide a full range of services to tourists under the agreement with Dusit to operate their first resort in the country.
Dusit operates more than 300 properties in 18 countries. These include resorts, hotels and luxury villas.
