A 55-year-old man who was discovered with severe injuries in the outer canal near Dharumavantha Hospital on Wednesday has passed away.
The Maldives Police Service confirmed the incident, stating that the man was found in the water during the morning hours.
According to police, the injured man was rushed to the hospital but was pronounced dead shortly after. Medical personnel reported that the deceased had sustained major head injuries, which are suspected to have been caused by a collision with a vehicle.
Authorities have not yet disclosed the identity of the victim. Investigations are ongoing to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
