
Govt to announce final flat list on Thursday
ACC previously revealed that 60% of those allocated flats by the former government were ineligible.
The Housing Ministry will release the final list of flat recipients under the previous administration’s 'Gedhoruveriya' housing scheme on Thursday, President Mohamed Muizzu announced Tuesday.
President Muizzu had previously assured the public that the list would be made public before the start of Ramadan. Speaking in Dhaalu Atoll Hulhudheli on Tuesday, he confirmed that the Housing Ministry would hold a press conference before publishing the list.
The Anti-Corruption Commission (ACC) previously revealed that 60% of those allocated flats by the former government were ineligible. During a past press briefing, the ACC outlined the status of the applications:

20.7% of the submitted forms were deemed valid with no issues.

19.7% of applications met the eligibility criteria but contained minor problems.
A total of 20,697 applications were submitted for two-bedroom and three-bedroom flats under the scheme:

6,208 applications for two-bedroom flats

14,489 applications for three-bedroom flats
The project, overseen by Fahi Dhiriulhun Corporation, includes:
