President Dr Mohamed Muizzu has inaugurated the Maldives Expo 2025.
First Lady, Madam Sajidha Mohamed, accompanied the President in opening the Expo at Central Park, Hulhumale’ Friday evening.
Following the inauguration, the First Couple toured the event stalls which showcased and celebrated Maldivian creativity, innovation, entertainment and entrepreneurship.
This is the largest exhibition of the nature in the country and is designed to give a wider platform to market and encourage Maldivian entrepreneurs. The decision to host Maldives Expo 2025 was made by President Dr Muizzu on May 19, 2024, following a Cabinet recommendation. The Expo is a joint initiative of Ministry of Economic Development and Trade and Business Centre Corporation (BCC).
The opening was marked by a fireworks display. The exhibition will be held from May 23-31, at Central Park, Hulhumalé, from 4-11pm.
