A total of 59 marriage ceremonies are scheduled to take place in Malé on Sunday, according to the Family Court.
The court stated that the date, 25-5-25, has seen a high demand for marriages, a trend observed on dates with repeated or significant number patterns.
Of the 59 ceremonies, 23 are scheduled during official working hours, while 36 will be conducted outside of official hours.
Temporary seating arrangements have been made outside the Family Court to accommodate couples and their guests.
According to the Family Court, Sunday's figure represents the highest number of marriages recorded on a single day so far this year.
