The Maldives Police Service has confirmed that CCTV footage shows a man reported missing earlier this month jumping into the sea from the Sinamale’ Bridge.
The individual has been identified as 30-year-old Hassan Yaameen of G. Garnet, who was reported missing on 14 July. According to police, he had last been seen on 11 July.
Police said Tuesday CCTV analysis conducted as part of the investigation revealed footage of Yaameen jumping from the Sinamale’ Bridge at 3:24 am on 13 July.
Search efforts are ongoing, with the Marine Police and the Maldives National Defence Force (MNDF) Coast Guard working jointly to locate him.
