The lorry was towed from the site and its driver, 28-year-old Indian national Vignesh Annadrai, was taken into custody.

A foreign worker was struck and run over by a lorry in Thilafushi Thursday afternoon. Police confirmed that the driver of the lorry has been arrested.
The incident was reported to police at 2:15 pm. The injured person, identified as a Sri Lankan national, is receiving treatment at Indira Gandhi Memorial Hospital (IGMH). Police said he sustained serious injuries.
