Driver charged over fatal pedestrian accident in Kaddhoo

Prosecutors have filed charges against Mohamed Nausan, 37, in connection with a road accident in L. Kaddhoo last August that resulted in the death of a pedestrian.
Police said Nausan struck a 64-year-old woman who was using a zebra crossing. She later died while receiving treatment for her injuries.
The investigation into the incident was completed and forwarded to the Prosecutor General’s Office on Thursday. The case was formally accepted on Sunday.
Nausan was arrested on 16 August following the accident and ordered to remain in custody pending trial. According to police, he has been fined on multiple occasions for traffic violations and does not hold a valid driving licence.
