According to the MET Office, the country will see continued rainfall over the next three days. The forecast includes:

Heavy rain in some areas

Rain expected to continue in parts of the country on Wednesday and Thursday

Moderately rough seas over the next three days, with winds of 10–20 mph and gusts of up to 40 mph
The MET Office said that although the period falls within the western monsoon, several storm systems are active around the Maldives. Cyclonic activity has been observed near the Bay of Bengal, the Arabian Sea and the Maldives region.
