Contracts have been awarded for the construction of new buildings to introduce additional services at Haa Alif Atoll Hospital and to upgrade the Raa Atoll Dhuvaafaru Health Centre to hospital status.
The agreements were signed Tuesday.
Under the project, HA. Atoll Hospital will receive an additional building to facilitate CT, mammography and X-ray services. The Dhuvaafaru Health Centre will receive a new building to support its upgrade.
Perfect Malafehi Maldives Pvt Ltd has been awarded the contract for the HA. Atoll Hospital project. The work is scheduled to be completed within six months. The scope includes a CT room, X-ray room, ultrasound scan room and a speech therapy room.
Altech Maldives Pvt Ltd has been awarded the contract for the Dhuvaafaru project at a cost of MVR 25.5 million. The work is scheduled for completion within six months. The scope includes an operation theatre complex, ICU, nurse station, procedure room and both medical and non-medical store rooms.
