Apollo Holdings filed a civil case seeking MVR 500,000 from MNP President Mohamed Nazim, a coalition partner of the ruling PNC.
Court records show the claim related to MVR 485,211 worth of goods issued on credit. Apollo alleged Nazim failed to clear the payment by 19 July last year, with the original debt due before 19 July 2024. The company also sought recovery of MVR 25,000 in legal fees.
The Civil Court initially dismissed the case after both parties signed a settlement agreement before adjudication. Nazim’s legal counsel proposed a five-month instalment plan. Apollo accepted the terms, and the settlement was lodged with the court.
On 28 November 2025, the court issued a judgment closing the matter for the time being. The case was dismissed with the right for Apollo to refile if the agreed payments are not met. The court order grants leave to pursue the claim again should the settlement terms be breached.
