Maldives’ envoy presents credentials to Russia's Putin

Maldives’ non-resident ambassador to the Russian Federation, Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef, presented his credentials to Russian President Vladimir Putin on Thursday.
The presentation took place at a ceremony held at the Grand Kremlin Palace in Moscow.
Abdul Raheem was appointed as Maldives’ non-resident ambassador to Russia in March last year. Prior to his diplomatic appointment, he served in senior positions within the Maldives National Defence Force.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Abdul Raheem conveyed congratulations and best wishes to President Putin on behalf of President Dr Mohamed Muizzu.
Abdul Raheem is currently serving as Maldives’ ambassador to Turkey and is based there. He will oversee diplomatic relations with both Russia and Turkey from his posting in Ankara.
