Ministry to hold land plot draw for Giraavarufalhu under revised plan
The draw to assign plot numbers will take place at the Social Centre on Saturday at 9:30am.
The Housing Ministry has announced that a draw will be held to determine land plots for recipients under the Binveriya scheme following changes to the Giraavarufalhu land use plan.
The draw to assign plot numbers will take place at the Social Centre on Saturday at 9:30am.
The ministry said on Wednesday that the previously issued land use plan for Giraavarufalhu included 610 fewer plots than the number scheduled for allocation. A revised land use plan has now been prepared and published, providing for a total of 4,072 plots.
Under the revised plan, land allocation in Giraavarufalhu is as follows:
-
2,603 plots of 1,250 square feet
-
1,214 plots of 1,650 square feet
-
254 plots of 2,050 square feet
-
1 plot of 2,450 square feet
The Housing Ministry said the draw will be conducted by ministry staff, with one representative from each landholding household permitted to be present in the draw area.
During the draw, land recipients will be able to view their allocated plots through the Hiyaavehin portal and will also receive notification by SMS.
The ministry said details regarding the signing of land transfer agreements and the handover of land registry documents will be announced after the completion of the draw.
