A Maldivian woman has been arrested in connection with the alleged sexual assault of a minor, police said on Monday.
Police said the victim in the case is a 15-year-old Maldivian boy. The woman arrested was identified as Fathimath Reema, 35.
According to police, the woman was arrested on 29 December last year. She remains in custody, and her remand period is due to expire on the 28th of this month.
