National awards nominations to open on Wednesday

The President’s Office has announced that nominations for the National Awards 2026 will open on Wednesday.
The application period will run from May 25 until 2:00 p.m. on June 30.
According to the President’s Office, all nominations must be submitted through the designated Form Submission portal. Applicants have been advised to ensure that all required supporting documents are uploaded with their applications.
The awards are scheduled to be presented during the official function held to mark National Day.
This year, awards will be presented in 39 categories. The President’s Office stated that individuals may nominate themselves or others. Organisations, companies, and associations may also submit nominations without requiring a government intermediary.
Government departments and independent institutions are also eligible to propose candidates.
The President’s Office further stated that after the closing of nominations for the National Awards, the National Awards Committee will open nominations for the National Service Awards. The application period for the National Service Awards is expected to open on May 6.
