Mauroof to serve as adviser to sports minister

Mauroof Ahmed has been appointed as Special Adviser to the Minister of Sports, the Ministry of Sports said on Wednesday.
According to the ministry, he will advise the minister on the decentralisation of sports across the Maldives.

Ahmed holds a Postgraduate Diploma in Sports Marketing and Sponsorship, as well as a Postgraduate Diploma in Sponsorship.
He has previously held several positions within the Football Association of Maldives (FAM) and earlier served as Managing Director of the Sports Corporation.
