The Privatisation and Corporatisation Board on Monday announced the removal of Yousuf Waheed from the Board of Directors of Housing Development Corporation.
The PCB did not provide a reason for the decision.
Yousuf Waheed, from Boduge in HA. Vashafaru, was appointed to the HDC board in September 2024.
In addition to his role at HDC, he serves as Chief Internal Auditor at the SME Development Finance Corporation.
According to information published on the HDC website, Waheed is a Fellow Chartered Management Accountant and a Chartered Global Management Accountant.
The profile states that he has more than 15 years of experience in the public and private sectors, including work related to accounting, auditing and risk management.
The development follows the dismissal last week of HDC Chief Internal Auditor Mohamed Shareef during a meeting of the company’s Audit Committee.
Sources told Dhauru that the meeting was chaired by Waheed before his removal from the board.
