A man rushed to hospital last week after trying to commit suicide while in custody for allegedly murdering his wife in HDh. Nolhivaram has died, police announced Monday.
Abu Bakr Faisal, 32, from Fenfushi island had been remanded for 15 days under a court order. He was kept in a cell at the police station in HDh. Kulhudhuffushi.

He was rushed to Kulhudhuffushi hospital where he had been on ventilator since
Police told reporters that Faisal died around 8:28am Monday.
Nishama, 28, was reported dead to the police around 12.30pm on December 10. In connection with her death, Faisal was arrested.
Faisal was Nishama's husband. He went to Kulhudhuffushi police station on his own.
While Faisal is accused of the murder, Nishama's family members and neighbours who spoke to Atoll Times, as well as the people who of Fenfushi, say that he abuses his wife a lot.
