Amjad Musthafa has been appointed President of the Employment Tribunal.
He was sworn into office by Supreme Court Justice Abdulla Hameed at a ceremony held at the President's Office on Tuesday. President Dr Mohamed Muizzu presented him with his certificate of appointment.
Amjad previously served as Chief Judicial Administrator before resigning from the post in April.
He also served as President of the Employment Tribunal in 2020. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Sharia Law and a Master of Business Administration.
Amjad has worked in law and public administration and has also served as a member of the Minimum Wage Advisory Board.
