Police have said they have not yet located the vessel that left the scene after colliding with a speedboat earlier this month.

The collision occurred on 9 July off Izzuddeen Jetty, when the speedboat Legion 1 was struck by another vessel.

The speedboat sustained damage in the collision, and five people on board received treatment for injuries.

Following the incident, police said the other vessel left the area without stopping, and an investigation was launched to identify and locate it.

In an update issued on Tuesday, police said no progress had been made in locating the vessel but confirmed that the search remains ongoing.

Police have appealed to members of the public with information about the vessel to contact the Marine Police Investigation Unit on 9926094.

Those injured in the collision included four foreign nationals and one Maldivian.

Videos shared on social media following the incident showed one side of the launch with its windows shattered and several seats damaged.
