Shop urges customers not to deal with ex-staff after deportation

Fabric retailer Ebrazoz has urged customers not to engage in transactions with a former employee whom it said was deported from the Maldives following allegations of assault and theft.
The shop, which specialises in wedding fabrics, identified the former employee as Indian national Ajay Kumar. It said police had recently arrested him and that he had subsequently been deported.
According to Ebrazoz, Kumar had been responsible for handling customer orders and deliveries, giving him access to customers’ telephone numbers.
The shop said he had contacted some customers after his deportation using the number he had used in the Maldives. It said it had received complaints about video calls and messages from him.
Ebrazoz urged customers to exercise caution and refrain from conducting any transactions with Kumar.
