The government on Monday extended the permit for using expired driving licences till February 28.
While suspending the issuance of licences for a week at the end of last month in order to complete the formalities for issuing licences online, the Transport Ministry has said that vehicles can ply till February 14 using the licences that expire during the same period.
However, the deadline has been extended till the 28th now, the ministry said in an announcement. The ministry did not give any reason for the extension.
