The keys to the SIFCO Hiyaa flats began on Wednesday.
The SIFCO flat project, which was decided to be built during the government of former President Dr Mohamed Waheed, has been severely delayed for various reasons. However, this government has finally completed the flats and begun handing over the keys to the soldiers who received the flats on Wednesday.
Defence chief Abdulla Shamal and his deputy Abdul Raheem Abdul Latheef handed over the keys of the SIFCO flats to the recipients at a ceremony held there Wednesday.
The flats recipients were determined by a draw held earlier this month.
