Mohamed Hussain Shareef appointed ambassador at large

The President has already appointed Dr Ali Naseer, also as the Ambassador at Large of the Foreign Ministry at the level of State Ministers.

Mohamed Hussain Shareef has been appointed as the Ambassador at Large of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in the rank of a minister.

Mohamed Hussain Sharee was the Minister of Youth and Sports in the government of former President Mohammed Waheed and Minister at the President's Office in the government of former President Abdullah Yameen.

Mohamed Hussain Shareef is working very closely with President Dr Mohamed Muizzu. He was also a senior member of the city council during Muizzu's mayoral tenure.

Earlier, it was widely believed that he would also get a position in President Muizzu's cabinet.

Mohamed Hussain Shareef, who holds a degree in foreign affairs, served as an ambassador to Maldives during the last years of Yameen's rule.

The President has already appointed Dr Ali Naseer, also as the Ambassador at Large of the Foreign Ministry at the level of State Ministers.

He also appointed Mohammed Shahudhy as State Minister and Fathimath Inaya as Deputy Minister.
